Helical Gear

We are manufacturers and suppliers of Helical Gear. Helical Gears for industrial applications are manufactured to good quality standard & recommendations. We also manufacture gears as per customers' requirement and specifications and also provide designing facilities for gears.

These Include Our Standard Range Helical Gears, Shaft Mounted Gear and Also Customised Gear Assemblies.

Helical Gear

We manufacture helical gears, which connect parallel shafts, but the involute teeth are cut at an angle to the axis of rotation. Two mating helical gears must have equal helix angle but opposite hand. They run smoother and more quietly. They have higher load capacity, are more expensive to manufacture and create axial thrust. Helical gears can be used to mesh two shafts that are parallel and can also be used in a crossed gear mesh connecting two perpendicular shafts. They have longer and strong teeth. They can carry heavy load because of the greater surface contact with the teeth. Their efficiency is also reduced because of longer surface contact. The gearing is quieter with less vibration.

These are highly used in transmission because they are quieter even at higher speed and are durable. Used in power tools, Lubricating Oil Pumps, Engines, Transmissions and Geared Motor Drives.

Helical gears are a type of cylindrical gear with slanted tooth elements that spiral around the gear's axis. Unlike spur gears, which have straight teeth, helical gears feature teeth that are cut at an angle to the gear's face. This helix angle introduces a twisting or spiralling motion during engagement, resulting in smoother and quieter operation compared to spur gears. Helical gears are widely used in various applications where precision, load distribution and reduced noise are essential.

Types of Helical Gears:

Single Helical Gears: Single helical gears have teeth that are cut at an angle to the gear's face, forming a single helix around the gear axis.

Double Helical Gears (Herringbone Gears): Double helical gears, also known as herringbone gears, feature two sets of teeth that are helically oriented but facing opposite directions. This design cancels out axial thrust forces.

Helical Gears with Low Backlash: Gears designed with reduced backlash, the play between mating teeth, resulting in improved accuracy and responsiveness.

Ground Helical Gears: Ground helical gears undergo a grinding process after initial manufacturing, ensuring high precision and surface finish.

Skew Gears: Skew gears have teeth that are not parallel to the gear axis, offering unique applications for certain mechanical arrangements.

Crossed Helical Gears: Crossed helical gears feature non-parallel but crossed axes, offering a solution for specialized mechanical layouts.
